Let me just start by saying, there is not another spot like this in the city! As a resident of the Heights clock tower (a historic textile mill in the Heights) , Kraftmen Cafe shares a building w. plenty of local architecture and design firms. As an architecture buff, this place tickles my pickle. From the butcher block tables, beautiful drapes, and fresh bread to the delicate drapery and plenty of natural light, I truly cannot get enough of this place. I was happily surprised to find that the pastries are as delicious as they are visually appealing (atleast that goes for the strawberry and cream croissant). I had to avoid making eye contact with the beautiful cake slices because I was certainly at risk of walking out of the shop with two whole cakes and a slice of the third! Don't be like me- remember to check-in, they are currently a pretty nice check in offer. The tea was just the tea, and I've yet to try any of their savory offering but per their website, as of this review April 2023, their lease is soon to come to an end, so go by and grab you a snack at this location while you can!

This is a local fav for breakfast - ample indoor seating and now cute outdoor seating that is shaded by a large tree. They also have unlimited coffee refills with Katz coffees. Parking is outside and the lot fills up quickly, but there is easy to find street parking nearby. I love their made to order omeletes - large sized, egg whites, Brie, mushrooms, and roasted bell peppers with their potatoes and fruit for me. He likes the croissant Sammie with cheddar, scrambled eggs. Their berry danish are delish - the raspberry was so fresh, their blackberry was good too. The pasted almond slices give a nice crunch. Highly recommended for a chill place for breakfast!

Cutest coffee and pastry shop in our neighborhood!! I have been so many times since I moved to Houston. We love their breakfast tacos, sourdough bread, chicken salad sandwich, and recently have been going early on weekends to get croissants and pastries. I eye the chocolate cake every time I come in and am dying to try a slice one day!! Great little spot to take friends on the weekend or grab a quick bit to eat. Cannot recommend enough!

We love coming to this local spot for coffee and bread. I ordered a chai tea latte with oat milk & it was okay. Not the best. My husband had a cold brew and it was Nitro and a bit sweet for me. The sourdough bread is so good. We love to make grilled cheese sandwiches with it or use it for soups. We also get their coffee beans to make coffee at home. The coffee beans are always fresh & we love it. Great spot to study or have a brunch date.

While visiting Houston, my friend brought me here. This is her go to and I can definitely see why. I got the traditional breakfast with sausage, over medium eggs, and sourdough bread and it tasted amazing. I also ordered a side of french toast and biscuits and gravy. The atmosphere of the place is super cute and gives the chick vibes great for a date. The traditional breakfast tasted amazing and was a pretty large portion. My favorite part of this was the sourdough toast as it was so flavorful. The biscuits and gravy was definitely made well. You know they really care about their food bc the sausage chunks in the gravy were big and hefty. The gravy tasted like it was made with sausage fat too and I recommend getting this. My favorite was the french toast as it was extremely crispy on the outside with the golden brown crunch with a super buttery soft center. Then drowning it with the syrup provided was AMAZING. I highly recommend getting it if you can. I'm coming back when I can
